The only local trade school, which allows high school students to take classes in a chosen trade, while still being invloved with core classes at their respective high school, is located on Venn Acsess Road directly above Shamokin Area Middle/ High School.

Lourdes Regional School is devoted to serving the Shamokin and Coal Township community with a quality Catholic education. Located in the Edgewood section of Coal Township, the school has combined recently with other Catholic schools to offer elementary and middle school grades to their curriculum.
